Bloomberg today issued a warning to the market on energy rationing stating that there were concerns about energy supply in the clay brick manufacturing sector.
With warmer weather, and the associated lower UK gas demand approaching, the sector has no current issues with energy supply or any prospect of rationing to come. The Brick Development Association’s Chief Executive, Keith Aldis, said:
“UK officials have confirmed to UK brickmakers that there is no energy supply problem in the UK. Energy intensive industries could look forward to a spring and summer of sufficient gas supplies.”
