Shortlist Announcement

Celebrating Excellence in Brick Architecture!

The Brick Development Association (BDA) is proud to reveal the official shortlist for the 49th annual Brick Awards - the UK’s longest-running and most prestigious awards programme dedicated to clay brick architecture and design.

Highlighting the beauty, versatility, and sustainability of clay brick, the Brick Awards celebrate outstanding projects and individuals who are redefining the built environment through exceptional brickwork.

Now approaching its 50th year, the awards continue to spotlight the very best in clay brick design. The 2025 shortlistfeatures a diverse range of projects, all demonstrating bold architectural vision, design integrity, and a strong commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility.

A distinguished panel of industry experts rigorously assessed entries across 11 categories – spanning housing, education, commercial, and public buildings – recognising excellence in craftsmanship, creative use of brick, and sustainable design.

Winners will be announced at a prestigious ceremony at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, on Wednesday 5th November 2025, hosted by renowned impressionist and broadcaster Jon Culshaw. The evening will bring together leading architects, developers, contractors, and manufacturers to celebrate the creative and technical achievements made possible through clay brick.

Robert Flello, Chief Executive of the Brick Development Association, said:

“Each year, the Brick Awards spotlight the incredible talent and creativity driving our industry forward. As we near our 50th year, this shortlist not only celebrates the enduring appeal of clay brick but also the innovation and sustainability that define its future.”

The Brick Awards have long stood as a benchmark for design excellence in brick architecture, with winners gaining national recognition and helping to set new standards in the industry.
