Judge profile - Tom McGuire

Tom McGuire started his career as a Bricklaying apprentice with Taylor Woodrow upon leaving school at 15, he has gained vast experience and knowledge within the Brickwork sector having worked through the ranks from apprentice to Bricklayer, Supervisor, Contracts manager, Director and currently Managing Director for Grangewood Brickwork. Tom has a passion for quality and for raising standards within the industry, he is equally passionate about training the next generation of Bricklayers and for promoting Brick as the material of choice.
 

Grangewood Brickwork, established in 1997, have progressed to become market leaders in the execution and delivery of Brickwork projects throughout London, they have forged a solid reputation for reliability, professionalism and attention to detail. In 2016 their project at Newport Street was awarded the Stirling prize, whilst the same year they were amongst other accolades, judged to be the Specialist Contractor of The Year by the Brick Development Association.
