The very best in clay brick architecture recognised as the industry celebrates five decades of excellence.
The Brick Development Association (BDA) has announced the shortlist for the 2026 Brick Awards, marking the 50th year of the industry's longest standing and most prestigious celebration of excellence in clay brick.
Since their inception, the Brick Awards have recognised the achievements of architects, developers, brickwork contractors and manufacturers whose projects demonstrate the design quality, craftsmanship and versatility of clay brick. This year's shortlist brings together an outstanding collection of schemes from across the UK and beyond, reflecting the breadth of contemporary brick architecture.
From ambitious housing developments and sensitive conservation projects to landmark commercial buildings and exemplary public architecture, the shortlisted entries illustrate how clay brick continues to respond to the evolving demands of modern design and construction while retaining its timeless appeal.

The shortlisted projects span a wide range of sectors and scales, underlining the versatility of clay brick and the collaborative expertise of the architects, clients, developers, brickwork contractors and manufacturers behind each scheme.
The winners will be announced at the 50th Brick Awards on 4th November 2026Â at London's Royal Lancaster Hotel, where the industry will come together to celebrate the projects and people that continue to raise the standard of brick architecture.
