We are excited to announce our Head Judge for the 2026 Brick awards!

Luke Tozer, Founding Director of Pitman Tozer Architects.

Luke has been closely involved with the Brick Awards over many years, having previously served as a judge, taken a short break, and returned to the panel for the past two years. His appointment as Head Judge comes at a particularly significant moment, as the awards celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Established in 2002, Pitman Tozer Architects has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality housing and regeneration projects across London. Luke’s work spans complex urban sites and large-scale residential schemes, including Kindred House in Croydon, Bulrush Court in Tower Hamlets, and the regeneration of the Gascoigne East Estate in Barking. Across these projects, his approach demonstrates how carefully considered brick architecture can create durable, characterful and sustainable neighbourhoods.

Speaking about his appointment, Luke Tozer said:

“I’m delighted to be taking on the role of Head Judge in what is a landmark year for the Brick Awards, as we celebrate their 50th anniversary. It is a particular honour to be following in Jonathan Hall’s footsteps, building on his outstanding contribution to the awards.

For five decades, the Brick Awards have recognised the very best in brick architecture, craftsmanship and innovation, and I’m looking forward to working with our panel of brilliant judges to celebrate another great year of entries.”

As Head Judge, Luke will lead this year’s panel in reviewing entries and helping to shape the celebration of excellence in brick architecture, craftsmanship and innovation.

We look forward to announcing the full judging panel in the coming days.
