2026 Brick Awards Charity Partner Announced

Charity Partner Announcement A5 Landscape 2

The Brick Development Association (BDA) has announced that the construction industry charity Band of Builders will be the official charity partner for the 50th anniversary Brick Awards.

As the Brick Awards reaches its landmark fiftieth year, the BDA has chosen to support a charity that reflects the values of community, resilience and practical support that sit at the heart of the built environment sector.

Band of Builders is a national construction charity providing practical support, financial assistance and wellbeing initiatives for members of the UK construction industry facing illness, injury or hardship, ensuring workers and their families can access help when they need it most.

The announcement during Mental Health Awareness Week highlights a shared commitment to supporting the people behind the projects. Across the built environment, workers often face intense pressures, long hours and demanding conditions, making wellbeing and mental health an increasingly important focus for the sector.

Rob Flello, Chief Executive of the Brick Development Association, said:

"As we celebrate the 50th Brick Awards, we wanted to mark this milestone by partnering with an organisation that reflects the strength and spirit of our industry. Band of Builders provides vital support to people working across construction and the built environment at moments when they need it most. Launching Band of Builders as our charity partner during Mental Health Awareness Week is especially meaningful because behind every award-winning project are people, and supporting their wellbeing must remain a priority for our industry."

Gavin Crane, Chief Executive Officer of Band of Builders, said:

"We are delighted to be chosen as charity partner for the 50th Brick Awards. Construction and the wider built environment are built on people, yet too many still face challenges affecting their physical, mental or financial wellbeing without knowing where to turn. Partnerships like this help raise awareness, start important conversations and ensure more people understand the support available. Together we can continue helping those who dedicate their working lives to building our communities."

Throughout the partnership, the BDA and Band of Builders will work together to raise awareness of wellbeing support across the built environment and celebrate the importance of supporting those working within the sector.

The built environment industry will unite at Royal Lancaster London on 4 November to unveil the winners of this year’s Brick Awards while also coming together to raise vital funds in support of Band of Builders and help further its vital work supporting people across construction and the wider built environment.

Entries for the 50th Brick Awards are still open. Architects, developers, contractors and manufacturers are invited to submit their projects and celebrate excellence in brick design and craftsmanship. Click here for more information and entry details.
