Stuart McGrath to present at Brick Works Manchester

Stuart McGrath, Associate Architects at OMI Architects, will present at the forthcoming Brick Works event in Manchester on Monday 21st October.

The evening event, hosted at the International Anthony Burgess Foundation, will provide in-depth, contemporary case studies on some of the most notable clay brick architecture in the UK’s built environment.

 

Stuart graduated with honours in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University and earned his MArch at the University of Sheffield, graduating with commendation in 2008. He joined OMI Architects in 2008 and is now an Associate Architect at the practice.


He has developed particular expertise in residential architecture across a broad range of scales and has considerable experience working with not for profit organisations to develop significant community projects. Stuart recently completed work on Baker Place in Hulme, for One Manchester and the 44 storey Anaconda Cut apartment building in Greengate, Salford. He is currently project lead on the £3.5m transformation of the Grade II listed Lister Drive Library to a childcare facility in Liverpool, a 115 dwelling 100% affordable residential development in Gorton also for One Manchester and the 55 storey One Heritage Tower in Greengate Salford.


Stuart is an external examiner for the RIBA on its Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice course, and an RIBA Student mentor at the University of Manchester.
