Adam Gray, Senior Associate at OMI Architects, will present at the forthcoming Brick Works event on Wednesday 24th October in Manchester. The evening event will provide in-depth, contemporary case studies on some of the most notable clay brick architecture in the UK’s built environment.

Adam has a passion for the detailed resolution of design and is a strong proponent of brick and its ability to give personality to buildings.

At OMI Adam has worked on a variety of residential projects and specialist residential care projects. Several projects are currently under construction including Gore Street, Salford and Warehaus Ancoats with Birtenshaw school in Bolton due to commence in 2019.

Adam first worked for OMI between August 1998 and September 2005 and re-joined in September 2012. He has experience in museum, gallery, residential, office and education projects from inception through to completion.

Adam's focus at the Brick Works event will be on the recent completion of Brick Award shortlisted, Wilburn Basin. The scheme has transformed a key Salford site and provides 491 three, two and one-bedroom apartments, townhouses and garden apartments along with 7,500sq. ft. of commercial floor space at street level. Four blocks of accommodation are grouped to place the historic Wilburn Basin at the heart of the development. A new public route creates access to the basin while reinforcing the wider connection to the adjacent neighbourhood and Manchester City Centre.
