Amy Robinson from Leviat discussed the Silverthorne Lane development, a landmark student accommodation project in Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. She outlined how innovative brickwork solutions and digital workflows were used to deliver a high-quality façade while meeting structural and aesthetic requirements, emphasizing collaboration and technical problem-solving.
Tom Russell of Emmett Russell Architects explored award-winning social housing projects in Bristol, showcasing how thoughtful design can foster stronger communities, embrace sustainable construction, and incorporate modern methods of construction. His presentation highlighted the evolving approaches to housing delivery and the positive impact of well-designed, small-scale council housing on urban neighbourhoods.
