About the project
Persimmon Homes is one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, delivering high-quality homes and communities through a regional operating structure that supports consistency alongside local delivery. Across the business, a strong focus is placed on build quality, customer satisfaction, workforce development and maintaining high standards throughout the construction process. Its approach is centred around a commitment to “build right, first time, every time”, embedding accountability and quality at all stages of delivery.
Quality assurance is integrated throughout the development lifecycle, from design and procurement through to construction and customer handover. Detailed build processes, regular inspections and robust internal controls help maintain consistency across developments, while customer feedback and performance monitoring are used to identify opportunities for continual improvement. Persimmon retained its HBF Five Star Housebuilder status, reflecting consistently high levels of customer satisfaction and demonstrating its ongoing commitment to delivering homes that meet customer expectations. Alongside this, quality-focused initiatives across the business continue to support improved build standards, customer experience and long-term performance.
Health and safety remains a core priority across Persimmon’s operations, with systems and procedures designed to create safe environments for employees, subcontractors and customers. The company continues to develop its Target Zero initiative, promoting a culture focused on reducing incidents and strengthening awareness across all areas of the business. During the reporting period, more than 8,250 health, safety and environmental site inspections were completed across Persimmon developments, helping to identify best practice and drive continual improvement. Persimmon also maintained its Building a Safer Future Chartered Champion status.
Investment in training and skills development forms an important part of Persimmon’s long-term strategy. During 2025, the business supported 345 apprentices across the Group, alongside wider trainee and development programmes designed to strengthen future skills and create opportunities within the construction industry. Persimmon continues to work with education and industry partners to support career pathways and maintain a strong pipeline of future talent.
The business also monitors safety performance through defined reporting measures to ensure transparency and continuous improvement. During 2025, Persimmon reported an Annual Incidence Injury Rate (AIIR) of 1.7 incidents per 1,000 workers.
Sustainability remains an important part of Persimmon’s operational strategy, with a focus on reducing emissions, improving resource efficiency and creating long-term value within the communities it builds. The company continues to work towards science-based carbon reduction targets while supporting responsible supply chain practices, biodiversity enhancement and the delivery of sustainable communities.
This approach ensures Persimmon continues to deliver quality homes while investing in people, maintaining high safety standards and supporting the long-term future of the industry.
